ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Ready for another episode and another guest? Joke's on you - this week we have TWO of them! Join us as we talk to dynamic duo Allie Joyner and Gabe Wasylko about the pop patriarchy, electric cars, Denver International Airport conspiracy theories, Ohio's best coffee, and everything in between! Special thanks to listeners Lilly Deveraux-Billedeaux and Eric Nguyen for giving us stuff to talk about.

Once upon a time there was a lovelyprincess, but she had an enchantment upon her ofa fearful sort which could only be broken by love's first Kass. She was locked away in a castle guardedby a terrible, fine breathing dragon. Many brave knights had attempted tofree her from this dreadful prison, but none prevailed. She waited in the dragon's key in thehighest room of the tallest tower for her true love. True loves, first Kasse Wey, that's ever GOINTA happen. Somebody Wont told me the welcome towishnic and Danid weare Backo ait episodes, Fun Factmo, fit episode,David Knoor fit episode means what I mean that I can finally submit tepodcast to spotify. We have spotifineed five episodes to be considered, so wehave four up until now. So after this also mit O see whathappens ygoand. What's our other big e, our other are other big news that we are on Googleplay. So if you have an entrod and pocking as working or Yogo, too lazy todownload it Aai brother Andanl, you can get us on pople playnow,Soo deahteshoothose Ar ur fifth episode, Yeah Two guests coming intoday on fact, special, surprise yeah. But for now you want to let's just get into our topics:o Tinto our topics, yeah all right. So I'm going to start with my first topic. Both of my topics this week actually come courtesy of listeners who havesuggested things really okeay. So the first one came from Eric Anuian Eric ifyou're listening. We are talking about what we talked about on the phone and so basically I know I talked aboutmusic a lot, but I think it's because it's really important an it's somethingthat everyone kind of is involved with in here's every like twenty four seven. So what Eric proposed is that we talk about kind of pop songs and the currentstate of pop music, especially male vocalist, like Sean Mendez, AJ,Mitchell kind of those type of people. So you know a while ago, that' sonPlord Line Tanng out with Robin Thick, and it was like this huge thing abouthow sexist it was and the sagonist tat, so that kind of blew up and Whateri canI talked about, and what I want to bring to this is that I feel like there are a lot of otherpop songs that do the same thing that fly under the radar just in beaberslike what do you mean their lines in that song were like? If you take it atfaceball, you fine, but if you actually think about it like when you nodge yourhead, yes and you want to say no and stuff like that, that's like a littlestrange and then you have songs like et Li k, Perry where she literally sayswant to be a victim ready for eduction right or you have even blame it byJamie Fox, like it's all about blaming it on the alcohol and then you havekind of newer songs like treat you better bout, Sean Mennas, that'sbasically saying break up with your boyfriend, like I know what you want, or even countrymusic like it's, not just poppye's like you, have a old dovinion break up withhim. It's all. It's basically saying the same thing like break up with yourboyfriend. I can TREAC you better. I know exactly what you want, so I just Im I'm seeing a lot of very masculine male driven pop songs about likeknowing what a girl wants, assuming what she wants, and I think I get I getlike what they're trying to do there like. I get those songs, but at thesame time, like I'm wondering if that's facilitating kind of a male gaze likeis that Anddo, you think that sexist ar asagenistic at all, and just do you think that that that being surroundedby all of these messages, all the time...

...is having an impact on like our ourculture or like how people are acting yeah. Well, T. let me start off andjust say that I, this is a od. This is a good topic and I do not think as you.You set it for me, but this is not exclusive to pop, but I think whatoften happens is when we think of especially hiphop wrap. You know it'salmost kind of expected, like oreters, then rapping about how much money theyhave. You know whatever that's a stereotype and like how they treatwoman and howits school to have whatever that's alier everybody goessar like what rap is but right, but you whan, you often don't have our littlekids. You know singing these kind of songs, but you do havelittle kids, who are seeing the lyrics of blurred lines right, who don't knowwhat they're talking about, because it's like a because it's like a beat orlike melody like fetisism. It is yo're not gnany attention to the lyricsexactly well, and so this is ae interesting point, and I think thatthis has always been a thing in music and mean you know the Song Wola, yeah, yeah and N Werd Ol did Yoda right literally, because well a was funny butbe like when I was growing up like my parents, like listen to this W, listen to the weird Al version, because, like I meanmy dad taught me like, you see, listen to the real lyrics Lok yeah when Ilistene to I had no idea it was that, until, like a friends told be one day-and I was like- Oh my God, because it's so catchy right- it is interesting, though I I do thinkit does it does put on Mel Gas. There is something to be said about if thesong, how it sounds, I think, is at a certain level or surpasses it. I thinkit's been acceptable, because if it's a terrible song, people aren't going tosay it's a good song. People are just going to say these tyrics are horrible, like like Kona Westen, little pumps, new song andLov. Listen to it. I thought the first line is the courus or whatever I'syou're such a fucking Hoh. I love it. I don't know how to phrase this. Do youthink that the attractiveness of the artist has anything to do with how thesong is perceived because, like you, have San Mennez or Eser, INA Charle, Co,tare, all these people who are like cute and young and like fresh faced? But then you also have like Sealo grain, who got into some deep shit like he'sdone, some fuck up stuff, but also he's not like a tract. His voice isincredible that he's not like the most attractive individual and he I justfeel like people get in trouble more often, if they're not using if they're not at tract they're,not attractive, they get called out more on it. Somehow, like it's moreacceptable t to give these kind of messages and send thise kind ofmessages in your music if you're like a younger, attractive artist, so youtaing about age. Are you talking about like body image obly, both honestly, but I feel like I just feel like like like Shanma, I feel I don't. I hate topick on Saman this. I really like soon. This got some good songs, but yeah. Well, do you did you watchAmerican idol when it was in its peak? Not Not. I not the reruns. I hov norealy, I'm more of a voice. Guy, okay! Well, the voice wel. This is befor thetimes of the voice. Okay, there is this guy name that promises is reelated AdamLambert. Have you heard about? Oh yeah, no know what happened. He was killingAmerican idol. Everyone was like he's. Gonna win, Ba Blah Blah you semen cowwas like you know whatever and then the final two as Adam Lambern, Adamsomething right and right before the finals, Adam lamberncame out that he was gay right. Okay, guess what he did win Tatall the judges onAmerican idol were, like I'm sorry to other Adam, but you did not deserve towin this right. I do not know why America voted for you and not him. Well.Tell you why it's because people found Outon Lambert attractive right right, but then, once he came out, they were all is like what females are peopleattracted to thim were like? Oh, I I don't linber it by the way. It's toingvery well. You've been following him recently, yeah, no he's great a H. Likehe's yea he's Toring as the the vocalist that replaced freddiy mercury. He is, if you can even say that maze and he did a re he'sd his own, take onplay that Funky, music, yeah and ob, my God it was. I mean, that's what it'sstill in my head, like I have the...

...itudes American Idal version. That'sall right! That's how like I'm like yeas great, I kind o out myself, but mysister and I watched boly alike. All look like I'm, not gin. No E coupleepisodes yeah. He came out as this weird character, but like veryflambiant- and I this is before like I knew it is. I like. I listened to hismusic, but I didn't knowhe. He looked like okay and he was so good on Heleanthat I was like I wonter. Do this guy actor is I looked it up and I was likeAddam laborand. I was like Oh fuck. That makes sense like the whole. So butHo people came back to the original thing anyway, yeah our people aresexualized and we talked about this and thinkin another right with the djswearing masks. Yeah, I mean Bropeop love, it says the appearance. I meanit's. Why when you go to concerts, people are wearing elaborate, you know, dresses, costume shoots, elaborate fashion, you know they look good andthey shave or what hat a tos about the music? It's about the the person Eselike it's a whole thing, all right. So here's here's the kind of big picture: Question: Okay, EMEIF! All!If all these, if we're over, if were hypersexualizing pop artist and justall artists and a lot of these songs and all different genres- are assertingmill doinance and like the Patriarchy and kind of giving sending messagesthat, upon further analysis, are a little kind of little creepy. What do we do like? How do you? How doyou change that? Because people are buying music, likeis like when tot take a boycott of Jeez. Idon't think we're ever going to change that. I think it's always going tochange. I mean when you you listen to when you look at Classic Rock Yeah alyrics and TAT. I mean, isn't it funny now how Mo most classic Rocki, Bossonor guns and roses like when we listen to those like welcome to the jungleyeah when you listen to that those lyrics are pretty like. Oh my God, Ilove that lyric I but yeah. I'm Gon Na make you bleede yeah, like jungle yeahexactly but now, when you compare that with. What's Today, you're like Oh,that's, not that's not that bad at least he's not. You know what I mean Ion. I you think it's just going to keep progressing until this is seen. I don'tknow. I maybe I mean it's funny, because now the next do Genra doesn'treally have that many lyrics latts a lie like the whole edn dotep thing Imean, there's, there's chorus, I don. I don't really know much about that Genra, but don't think. Well ever be able to faxeat don't know a I'm being devil's advocate here, but I think it's alwaysgoing to be here and if we try to like Boikon it or whatever, there's going to be like a whole anrarchist side being like no likefreedom right, Blah Blah wellther. That happened W T with just with board lineslike all all these people came out and was like as long as antifhenidist it'smosaganistic at sexist, and then there was a whole like half the country waslike no fuck you. I like this music, it's not sexist, and I have my ownthoughts on that. It's more complicated than that, but whell. I remember at myhigh school behind a whole. We we have town hall, Ga every twice a week and wehave special things. Some O do special events. An I is come to talk aboutwhatever issues and we talked about blurred lines and a lot of peopledidn't know, and it became this huge thing and then it became a huge like ifanyone heard it on the radio yeah, you played it during lunch or whatever. Oh,my God like free the fig out, but now, but but what I was going to say I, thatpeople still listen to it like it's still yeah artist like Robity Lick, yeah. He he hasn't really put out any other big head since then. I think hekind of Tlook a hit after that, but he wasn't like super big before that Imean he had his fans yeah, I just I don't know I mean, but therapper that featured on that like Ti whos. Well, LO, one of the lines thatPehav everyone points to because he literally says like I'm, going to tearthat ass or split your ass into or something like that, like somethingreallyse that n Bor vines really yeah features, it's really obsete thateveryone plays so he's fine like he's old, but he's fine, but pree. That'swhat I mean is that, because the genre and music background that Tis in rightrap, whatever is fix, Aspectaon, like Oh of course, you're going to talkabout that right. But if you have Lik Taylor, swift talk about this kind ofstuff. Well, actually, I guess, what's...

...the whole deal wash her, did she putout a really controversial album from a breakup ges? She rely se o Talero, likeAzso Ere, here's my question I goant to ask: What do you think, because youmentioned Katy Perry et yeah right? I know that song. So do you? How does this exist for fromfemale artists? Do you think this exinther geam there's any talk fromfemale artists? Obviously the magnitude's, not that big? Well, so Ithink that, like, historically speaking, I think that femal artists have played, along withthat kind of narrative, just to sell albums and make an name of themselves. So you see K payrr like et, but also like Riani, even after that whole ChrisBronthin put out that Song Snm. That's like six and stones may break by bones, but chains and whips excite me yeah, even after the whole, like empoweringChris Brown thing. She still like played along with that and on Ner, andI know that's different because it's like it's like consensual, cank orwhatever, but like it's still kind of the thing now. I think that's changingbecause you have artists like I mean, maybe not changing that fast, but you had arist like kind Kanyan, you Knov ors. I can't we talke about coy somuch crazy. No, you have artists like Cardib, who are like coming out and being veryempowered R, like even Nicky Manas, to a certain extent that are just kind ofchanging the game. So I don't know I feel like I feel like it's an issue on both sides like peopleaccept that narrative for what it is and they adopt it because they neededto sell their albums, but then that might be changing on the fenal side ofthings, especially with this whole, like Metu Movement and like the currentclimate. I don't know who gave u this topic Eric Newian shout Ou Erilet's. Oh,he isn't go to this college now I goes to university, O marld yeah good times all right. Let's take abreak and we'll be back. Are We toe there that? That's no funny? That'sreally atammature see. This is why noall right Youlot,I'm gonna, just stop talking. Finally, but this is taken: forgever Shreckinain't, no inflit movie Onno the Kingdom of far far away donkey. That's wherewe're going far a all right. All Right! I get it. I'mjust so. Darne Bo well find a way to entertain yourself. Five minutes. Could you not be yourselffor five minutes all right? We are back, so I'm going tostart with my topic, yeahal right. So it's a doozy, it's adouzy yeah! So itswhat I've heard. I don't know hats always. I have no idea what he's aboutso, when I'm walking in our college like center, Okay Lotry Center in thepit whatver, you call it. There are more recycling bins than garbage cansright because ECYCLING's important yeah. So I make the conscious decision torecycle because it does not hurt me. I don't have to pay her recycle yeah. Iam benefiting it's a Fe at easy act that you can exactly. I don't knowabout where you live, but ind. Definitely this isn't Happenin in Ohio,a in California. If I'm buying a few things, I will not ask for a bag orI'll bring my revenable bag, because I make the conscious effort to that today, toar about the environment. Exactly now, electric cars are a huge thing thatpeople are buying to be conscious about the environment. All right right, likeTeslos, were talking like and or Higso...

...listenit. Listen. There are a lot ofelectric cars right on the market right. There's the Chevy Spark Sur, Kiisol, okay for focuse, whatever right and then, of course, there's Tessla. Here'sthe problem all right right now, if I told you out of college that you had tobuy an electric car and you obviously, let's say you're, not going to drop sixfigures on your first cack. Okay, unless you come from a very wealthybackground or you're like whatever you can finance it, you were most likelygoing to buy a Nissan leaf or a chevy spark or whatever yeah here's heproblem with those cars. The distance is not that far, and so, unless youlive in a city where you live somewhere in area where's a lot of chargingstation right, you can't use it you're scurty, because if you want to go anymore far than your daily community work, you can't go on a road trip with it. Sothen you have to buy a second car. My point is: electric cars are stillreally only practical if you buy the top of the line right. So here's whereI'm going with this Audi came out. Okay was an electric, all electric car, allright, flak ship, car, okay and they're, calling it the. I think it's justcalled the Audi, not the Etron, but it's some series with that: Yeah, theAldi Echon and its an SV Ar Okay and they had a huge event about it. Thisisn 't actually two weeks ago and the starting price is seventy four thousanddollars all right. Here's the problem, Nik this car is completely electric, and so,if you want to use it, you have to charge it. There are only eighteenthousand electric charging stations in the United States like a gas station is the same as anelectric charging station. There are more individual like parking spot stuffright, but do you see electric charging stations basically y? So basically, what I'm hearing is that high end, electric cars are being used by likeHar Manufacturers to make a profit instead of actually sustaved theenvironment or what Er's the problem? Here's the problem and the lower levelones are environmentally inefficient to the point where you would never buy oneright. You only buy one if you're in the city. Here's the issue with thiswhole thing. How da you putting out this car is not what our market needed.Oan Ego stuff. They want to make money and I get it but the more electric carswe make the fewer electric charging stations we have and they stay on theirwebsite that they're going to make electric charging stations. There isthe part of this movement to have more stations around the US. Not everycharging station works with every car yeah every gas station Wastin that Ithought about a tesenly because, as you know, I've been really into tezlas fora really long time and I actually started looking into the last year, because I was curious like what the price point would be, and the pricepoint is irreletant, because you can't take Tham. I like you, can only takethat a certain number of places. If I told you that you needed to driveacross the country in your Tesla, even the most the longest battery CapasctibyTeslav, which is like two hundred thosand dollar Rio get the biggest thebest. You still have to plan your route around where you can charge the damncar. Okay, here's the thing: The only people that can afford the bestelectric cars that drive the distance like regular gas cards are people whobring in a lot of money sure, and so when people by test las, they say. OhI'm doing it. For the environment, Bahblah Blah everyone should have atesla. This is the future. We can't get the whole country to get testlas. Whatif we just install word charge esisions? Well, that's what's happening, but thenwe need to get cars that can go the distance right and right now we'rewasting. I just think we're wasting our resources in time with no one's going to be able to ru around.Like...

...you know, electric crappy cars likeTesson, leaf work. If you live in New York City San Francisco, like ver areawith that's very affluent and has these charging stations. But it's such aprivilege, because if you have an electric car, you get that premium,Parson a Bot right in front of the store. So here's a question. Okay, doyou think that how do you feel about hybrids? Not Peroelectrics because also first hand. We have my family has one. We have a FordFocus that it's a hybrid, it's not a full of electric, and not only is itthe smoothest ride, but I have driven that o the drivn. I mean I'm not theonly one driving Ma car, like my dad and mom do so this, maybe just a luckthing, but I've only had like I gel count tenumber of times. I've had to fill that tank on one hand like Mi, I insane yeah.So do you think then the price point for that? Isn't that high? So would youdo you think, like long term? That's a better solutionthan well. I think we could get in a market. Yeah were at least right now, wel. We can do hybrids right right. Even people who want to buy superridiculous fancy cars. They can also have hybrids because mcclaren theirflagship super car isn't IBRT. You can put it in ECOMODE or you can put it ingas mode or if you put it in supermode, both things were together: okay, nonetheless, it's still a hybrid right, and so the argument of well, if you getrid of gas cars when the PIRORIIES goingto go on o business, that'sbullshit, because in formula on in racing they're already DU using thattechnology, I just don't think we're in in the area right now where we can justget electric cars and say everyone has to do this, because you know and here'sthe other thing to mechanics. Okay, how many fucking Jos, you gointo get rid ofif your TESSLA breaks down? Are you going to go to t like what is it autozone? Yeah now probb, you got to go to the TESSLA dealershit theres somebodywho wawns to test on this. Damn campus, I don't sen it it's worithe heat. Theydo if there's a problem. If these manufacturers want to increase saleswith their Atle, Apalli really wants sales, they need to invest in chargingstations right. They can't just sit around and expect people to buy the car, because guess what you buy a fancy testlaw. That has like super long rangelike where I live in San Francisco, but guess what those cars only get drivenout to like work, then their fancy. Five corwe are not used for like fulltrips yeah because they don't driveotest on notrid. These people willflyn their first class jets over to wherever they want to got right. It'sjust not it's fake, we're being smug. Okay, it's like buying a test law orbuying whatever Al n to help the environment. Not everyone can do that, and so we really want to mean business about this. I think we first have tostart with the accessibility and the resources before we start buying a car.You know- and we also have to think about. If you want to phase out gascars, all these jobs ere going to lose mechanics, I mean how many outorepairsplaces are. Were we lost way too many peohow ther, all on business whatever, but all those jobs is in this tiny town. We live in yeah. All those people willdose jobs because those people do aren't certifind that testems alsothat's more generally a plecable ixlike, a environmental politics, of course, yeah, and one of the schools of thought is that if you like address poverty andinequality, it'll affect climate change, because not everyone can afford to takelike environmentally conscious measures like using reusable dags or like, likeeven that low access point like speaple can't do that because of theirfinancial situation. So you address that and climate change follows yeah,so just gay wore o thought. I just everybody's Co. If you have an electriccar you're a thick is what o think about what you're doing? Okay, don'tfeed into the system? We need to get ward charging stations. I hope you geton the middle of the road and run out of your battery and you have to callroadside assistance. Bu Wait. You can't call Chebelet if you have a TESSLA,we're Goin to fall the TESTLO service...

...right. I wish you all can see David'sface right now. INTOS, not we! I don't know what we'redoing we're. Just our world is really messed up, so continue to recycle, butyeah keep her cycling. Yeah, reduce Eres, recycle okay, that that that's it.I just wanted. To least my no that's interesting, I'm Ho you brought thatyou I mean. I guess you agree with me. I do yeah, that's not something! I'veever thought about, but yeah all right, we're GOINGNA, I'mgoing to do mine. My last topic, Roak, quick and I won't go to Little Brit andrang Yoe all right. This one is brought to you by Lily Deverau, you don't that she doesn't gohere either. Okay, don't worry about it, and so what I want to talk about ourconspiracy theories, all right, I'm ready, yeah, so thre they're, theclassics you know so like Princess Diana was murdered. Nine eleven was aninside job. Topock is still alive, Hitler still alive, like all of those. There are a couple more kind of obscure ones that I also enjoy so there's onethat says, like Filand, doesn't exist like the entire country. It was created by like other countriesas like, employed to get like fishing riht in the Baltic, like it's a wholething yeah in two thousand and ten, there was a sharp attack off the coastof Egypt and that started the conspiracy theory that the Israeligovernment has a fleet of GPS, assistad, sharps and dolphins that are equippedwith, like killer arrows, to hunt down enemies at see, oh my God, so that none of that is whatI wanted to like. The Big One I wanted to talk about, but, like those are, Iguess, is out there Yeah Ois, a flat Earth Convention that just happened:likeas really yeah people who still think the flat thereis this flat wherewors the convention. I have no idea the problem. I think it's not likeCalifornia know. Ias gonna ate middle of like O US Utah Yeah. So how much do you know anything aboutthe Denver International Airport Teia Yeah, I've flown there Hav goodconnected to okay? Have you did you notice anything about it? Anythingstick out to you. I mean there's mountains. Okay, that's not it Otiso Therre! There are a a lot ofconspiracy theories surrounding yea, okay, Te, tenver airport and host of them start with. I don't knowyou just were there for a layover, so you didn't actually leave the building, but did you see a giant like Blue Mustang, sculture musking like the Horse? Now? Okay? Soit's outside it's right outside rea. This is rel. This is real yeah. It'sthirty two feet tall. It's like nine thosand pounds. It's a must it's a blue muspankstolsculpture and it has literally glowing red eyes and it's supposed to bereminiscent of like the four horseman of the apocalops or something does itmove around Itnigh? No, that's not wha I' Ho with this. No, but before beforeit was finished and stalling. Part of it fell on its creator. Louise Humenez andkilled him so wowyeah. So that started all of thisrumor like that there's evil like their bad vives associate with this airport. It's called it's kind of VICLA. Now Blu super okay. So there's that, but then there are tonsof other theories because the airport itself is like. Apparently they areweird like creepy, random garboils all over the building, and so there are a lot of differenttheories and like I'm, just going Ta go through a couple of them. One of themis that it's controled by the freemasons is a old like fraternalorganization yeah. I guess, there's a dedication plaque byone of the entrances. That's got the Freemazon synbl on it and therare likestrange markings all around the building that they think are related tothe freemasons. So that's that's there. Then you have the theory aboutunderground bunkers in the place in the airport, in the airport like under theairport yeah. But I guess when contractors werebuilding, they saw a bunch of entrances to bunkers like evidence forinstances to bunkers and like unexplained tunnels under the entirebuilding, and no one knows what they're...

...for- and there are like conspiracy theories that thatthey're for, like the illuminady for like if the apoclypse ever happens, people are going to go bump down there. Oh Wow there's their theories thatthere's blurry footage of like Lizard people hanging out down there like it's like a ton of Shit, part ofit. One of one of the big theories about this space is that it wasoriginally created by Nazis. I don't know the dates on this. I can'tlike right like in the US when they post World Wor, to maybe I probably endand tha. Apparently, if you look at the runway configuration, it looks like aswastika at the airport. GWHO is the time to Comov that's kind of what I'mgoing at there's, also an alien like image that appeared somewhere andthere's like big arc all over the place. That apparently has like quote fasciistand Nazi imagery, and I don't know it's a whole thing, and so the airport is actually runningwith it now like at first they were kind of nervous, but now they Hav, likethemed nights and things like extraterrestrial or like illuminady andTere, using tas like a marketing, stheeme Sur sure. But so I question is like, likeconspirate, like you just said, who, as the time for this right, so my questionis like like why? How do you feel like likeokay? How do you feel about conspiracy theories in general and then like? Whydo you think people try so hard to find meeting and things that probablyshouldn't, like probably, are just completely arbitrary? Well, I mightpiss a lot of people off listening. Maybe your friend comn yeah, probablyshe probbly own conspiracy deries, but I think e pirious theories are a loadof Shit. I don't think and of them are true and I think the only reason whypeople make them is because they get recogditioning an attention for itright if you come with a genius conspiractheory in Spreadit, Gist, waneyou're, like famous, are you getting attention because everyone's, like, Oh,my God, you're right, I mean I wish I was that g par lookit, because likwaysan be like. Oh my God, the Runway Patterns Coming Nto, a swastagun andstuff Fu. I don't know who said that like can you name the people, who'swhosay, nine eleven was an inside job or like that Diana was murdered. Like Idon't know any other names, I don't know I mean I did Google. I didwatch video. I had duse for class. I I ni leven conspiracy, thers. I did watchsome of these people and they gave pretty damn good arguments. OIT's crazy, like obviously there's no evidence that I mean there's no sources, they don'tSan where they get this stuff right, but I mean they had those videos have a lotof vews yeah, so they get attention like theyr doing something like why.Why do people make conspuse theories? I mean my favorite thing to do is whenpeople say like? Oh, my God, don't step on the cracks or like don't go in there. It's best to do fuck you and do it a d I like, Oh, my God, David no and I'mlike Looki'g fine yeah, I ey Shii kind of like I don't know if this iscomparable, but I like it all, goes beck to rumors for me because, likeyeah like or gossip, because you like, if you hear something about like I don't know- let's say let's sayHenry or alast guest. If you hear something about Henry and it's like, oh,like kind of secret ar like embarrassing or like just shocking orwhatever your instinct, I mean most, people's Instante is they're going towant to tell someone else right right, but there's an absolutelysero reason like they have. No, you have nothing to do with thatinformation. You got the person you're about to tell has nothing to do withthe information you got like there's, absolutely zero, rational reason. Youshould want to tell that person. Besides the fact. Besides, you beingable to say look, I know this. This is something I found out like puttingyourself at the center of it right. Well, maybe you know I just thought ofthis. Maybe it's like Santa Clauz or Easter or like those are like religious holidays.Halloween likeisthateso anyway shit like that, though, but you knowremember how people love, I mean the whole thing of like Christmas movies orlike Trothferry and there's huge. I don't know if you grow up, did youbelieve in he toothberry or you like fuck, that I honestly talk alsom, I didThut, I obviestly don't Owo Remembenamh...

Wasi for me and personally, like Iremember I loss I to that was like I emembe my si little box and to tarwould come and like I would be totally asleep and like one time showe me anope in thes fucking, Handwriting D was like, Oh my God like, but that's alsokind of a conspiracy theory, and so maybe these correct conspiracy theoriesare like what do you do after you realize thatSana doesn't exist? Well, you fulk around with this crap I mean because Iwill have fun. I will do the whole sile antosvary thing with my kids yeah andthat that's fun for me. Maybe that enjoyment that I get from that is whatconspiracy thos. So it's like this, like as yeah. The only difference isthat, instead of like eating a cookie, that's left into the tree, you canactually be like no look at the runway like it's a fucking lostic or lookitgThas, like thermal imaging, like there's tunnels under the airport, likeyou know what I mean a ie Asoso with that, though, like I think that's right, but also I would I would differential, because there are two types ofconspiracy. There is they're the types that like, I think I think lily is thethe person who brought this up, which was that, like these are fun like Ireally enjoy like entertaining the idea and like thinking about, if it'spossible and then thereare the people that wait outside the DMV. For you andlike you, walk by and they're like this, his happened to me. This is a a realthing. I went to like get my license, like figure, some shit out sure and Iwalk out of the dat like I walk in totally fine, I walk out of the DMD andno warning this guy, like directly on my left, just shouts in my ear jet fielcan't melt steel beams and I was like what the absolute fuck and I turnedaround and there's like a table with like six guys with, like nine elevenwas the inside job pamphlets like trying to convert people so there'slike the people that are like having fun with it n thone here the peoplethat are like the US government is up to some shady shit and we got a likehat. It then. Is that a conspiracy theory or is that the truth? They thinkit's the truth. I testhat's what I mean: Yeah Ecaus, a think, Sanad, that'sTHATHTHAT'S SMART! I mean not then doing that but, like I guess, maybe aconspiracy theory to me and maybe I's not a conspiracy theory to you orsomebody else play Oul o those people believe that they're telling the truthlike, otherwise they wouldn't be doing thewen. I turn thinks there's alsotrolls, who come up with conspiracy, rieries and then likeutbut, the trollsthat come up with them and the people that are like Ahha ha ha. This can befun, are the people that are like protesting or like right, like okay, wow yeah. Do you believe in anyconspiracy theories? Not Really. I don't really think so. I know Lily'sgonna get tmadbefor this noee through that I don't I just don't.There's nothing that there's one I like thats just says: Australia doesn'texist and there's not even like, like with vinle. It was like. Filon wascreative as like to get like right sort of the Baltic Sea, the Australia one isjust like, like literally just like, have you ever been Bou Australia andyou say no and they're like there. You go like anyone who says theyve didAustralia is part of the conspiracy an their lying to you exactly like. That's,that's and there's no whing to prove that wrong except to go, but then youcome back and someone else super leae anyway, tit's a whole thing. This Maryeah all right, yeah, electric cars, sexismand pot music and other all music and luciverall right, we're going to take abreak and then we'll bring on our guests magican food. Well, let's not just sithere with our tummy's rumbling, everybody diggy man. If I do Lilian, soI suppose he grandchildren I could expect from you- would be lugers. Yes,that there's anything wrong with that right: HROLD, Ono, NOCOURSE! Not thatis a sue. You don't yourown! No, we usually f the ones whove beenlocked away in a tower Shrek cly. I only did that because I nock Ohi, Takout or Dragon Gota castl. You wouldn't...

Are you guys bothexhausted or you just so I am so ti. It's really. I don't know why we choseto record on Freddy's, I goin to say yes, it was definitely a differencebetween waking up Friday morning and just that midpoint in the afternoowigt, when it just hits you and you're like all I want to do is take a nap justbecause the week has been like, like Te Anti Bas, or this weekor is lifeiit'sthe grind. THAT'S THE GARAGE! TAK! The grid lit that up on your Soa Media Hash, tackthe grind but yeah. No, it's literally like it's just it's! It'sschools, exhausting yeah! It's it's crazy, just to think that you know thisis four years of our life and it's just super fast and everything and then allof a sudden, like you're done yeah I was I was talking to someone in theseastore yesterday because she was just like pissed s, one of the adult workers, not like a student worker yeah. She was just pissed and I was like what's goingon like what's wrong and she was like you're born. You go to school, an youwork and then you die, and I was like Oh shit, like that's my God. I know I'mtalked to her before I wasn't like like it was totally round. The way is: Isthis the person? That's usually there at night, yeah its all of her Nice iySha? Yes, oh the I she was just not having it. I so like. What do you guysthink is that all life is no. I ot a surface level. I think that's whatthey're going for you know like the overarching theme of life, but Ithink life's what you make it. So, let's make it rock tats inspiring goodHaow philosophicpaltis has goten already sorry I just I e just felt likethat was a no it's I mean I agree, life is what you make it and you should just live every single daysof the fullest and not really focuse on, like always thinking like. Oh that's.What like we do. We always talk about even when a day is horrible alliat. Ialways talk about how like there's at least one thing that we're thankful foreach and every day. So every night we end with. So what are you thankful forand we can't move on until eve each ate Saido, my mom used to do that. A dinnerheused to Lak us go around the table and say one good thing in one path:ther fe Li to eat. Yeah. We start we all STARV, that's so nice, though wow like every day you do that Yah, David Youo, you and Morgan to tothat I try to. Sometimes I've been negative to Din Junior. Is I'm like myworld's crash e doing senior? I ss yeah, that's WHA, thirashyou mind this crashlike burning right, Noyeah, yeah. I S, it's Al Lie thing. Tho were even if youthink, you've had the worst day or it's...

...been a super long day you can be like.Oh the food, OT lowery wasn't bad. I thought you 'ere going Ta say it canalways get work asas. If it was. I slept for an extraminute right, wsee on Friday, like Sa okay, today, Friday, like are you? Doyou guys have energy? Are you going to go? How are you going to do stufftodight or you literally just Koing tof like stand hanging out like well? Whatdoes it depend on the week? Well, it's usually, I think, every Friday sincewe've been back once it hits about eight o'clock. It's that time, yeah Itotally fee. Now I get that an I mean, what a lose Nonyeah, who are those college Wa when the fire alarm goes offat midnight you, a r Yeahyeah, it's Goodas Erson is good. I HinkActuallyhas to Ake Canorsid David you've got social media. You want totalk about. Let's talk about coffee, coffee, yeah, Al Right, going to bounceto coffee, yeah, that's Fin David looks really confused. Coffee, Yeah Yabe notheard about all right cam you can. You can explain why we're talking aboutcoffee, hello out there. So, basically, when I was a sophomore, soyou were in, we were in the same M Lis, clas yeah. At the beennning of thatyear I started a coffee block outline called gapes Coffee Journey- Oh my God,really yeah, okay! So basically I started that because I thought it wasgoing to be like cool thing to kind of like just post like pictures of coffeeand like maybe like ten or twelve people with. I me like Nice postgame, like maybe my parents like o relatives, Yeah Yeah, my parents would be likewild game. You drink coffee, we're so proud of you and it's like and then all of a sudden like. Istarted it two years ago around this time and then it just kind of got alittle bigger and then I kind of switched it to not onlydoing reviews, because I would just go to coffee places and walk in and belike hi culd I like have a coupe of coffee and some people would be likeSuper Nice about, I and say yeah sure her here take take all you want andsome people do like. No, you have to pay and I was like no you're, like abillion dollar like company right, you coun have one cuple of coffee, like itcost fifteen cents to making your chargein like five bucks like Lis Chil. That's another topic for another thing, but yeah. So I just started reviewlingand then I startete interviews and- and so I would sit down with peoplenterview that and kind of learn about their personal journey, because itssgapes coffee journey and Aly is definitely the biggest like like. She helps me so much with it, because you explain me as explain me. Gamestarted gaves coffee journey, but he doesn't like to maintain games coffeeJERC. So I have to remind him: Every day: Hey you work in games, COFFEEJOURNEY, Hey! You have about five interviews that you've done that YouePost, Hey, have you edded those pictures and he's usually soal get? Henever gets to do it. I'm just sitting here watching corgy races online, andit's just that's. That's that's it but like Alihelps me she keeps me on track and I would definitely Li Games. CoffeeJourney would be like a metaphor for, like your is experience like crashingand burning if it was a cer athlete to like keep me on track and hemp me out.Sonice, it's been, it's been fun, but so okay, so here's t e. The realquestion, though, are there any coffee places or kinds of coffee that youwould recommend and anor any that you would just absolutely avoid at allcosts? But where do we start? So what do you want? Like the bestcouple? COF Yeah Yeah? Let's go best at's Toug. Definitely...

...one O we'll say one of the best, soyeah anybody in Akron. I definitely I love Ackr, an coffee roasters. Theyhave what the best not chocolate right, yeah of all the hot chocolate placesI've been. There's is definitely the best, because I actually hate coffee. That was just so like funny, but so I'm thinking I'm taking Ali's coll, fetureor Hotaat. We actually started that we did. We started a spin off of gates, coffee journeycalled Northeast, Ohio, cones and bones. You can follos on Instagram at neo, cones and bones where we decided it'd, be a good idea to go to ice creamplaces and just hope that there were dogs there Ani just take pictures withthem ice cream, an likedoin about the dogs. So the first time we actuallywent to a shelter before we got ice cream and we played with all the rescuedogs. And so we use that as like hey, if you're in the area stop by here andthen go here for ice cream Gotca, so wait some neo cones and bones neoconesand bons. We have about twenty strong followers nice, but we're lookingforward to the day that we don't really have to worry about like kershaw readings and an in mathproblems, and like is so, we can just focus on our ice cream and coffeedreams. It's everybody's dream. You knowhonestly! Well I like it because it's so I mean that's so unique, like you're,not just reveading ice cream. Like you, it's an ice cream dog that combination. That's really SFAR. How do you come up with that? Do you rememberreal on Nicedogs and ice creams, an we thought, it'd be fun to combine the two, but wehad to call it in the ocones and bones because cons and bones was alreadytaken. So so someone in California had the same idea as US yeah, and it washilarious because we created congs Anbu. We talked about it for probably liketwo months and then all of a sudden like an it was over spring break. In March Iwas I went over during spring break. I went to Gana on Spring Brak trip and Igot email in my inbox and it was it's still in my inbox today. It says, like Gibbrey, Anthony Wisslgo, I hopeall is well. Would you like to be a business partner, an MEO CONES EN BO?It was jus like and that's how it all started and thenyeah, just in a little hotel room in Gana in Akrin, Ohio and the o coolanow mycouch not doing anything of real borocons, so games, coffee journey andthe OCONS and pones both on Instagram, good and and gates. Coffee Journey ison facebook games, coffee journey and then on twitter at Gabes coffee, because games coffee journey is more than fifteen characters. Damn that neutrality, but but, and then it's also I've toedaround when making a website to that's one of those things that kind ofassociated with keeps coffee journey right is something that I usually putoff. So the the it's een under constructionfor, like two months O, do anyone listening wancs to design a website?YESIT's JUSTANOIT's like one of thos things, it's Wi. What was it? Was it one of theoffice episodes when, like the White was on the like the website or whateverthey're checking like I hit? Yes, yeah yeah, it's literally like you get tothe website. I as like, under construction like onstruction Barrows, like it looks like Woester. Also, can we talk about another topic? Yeahwoster, construction, okay, yeah, leve glick does not sed emails when thestreet you live on is under construction, so you're driving back toyour room at night talking about the on...

Seare oreathere's, one right on Kaardanand then there's also one over by wisher. They shut down the Riger E. Inever got. We didn't get notified about it, so we were driving back one day andI had billing Ta Ttor, Oh yeah. No, I or just today I went to I was going toGowolo drop some stuff off yeah and I first I turned the wrong way out. I canarden because I'm an idiot and then I turn back around its Gong on the streetand I had to take like the detour sign and I ended up in some way little backneighborhood yeah that I had no idea I' pretty sure I was driving the wrong waydown or one way street, but I didn't know yeah. I made it ot the other side.So so here, Yeah Nso we wouldn' have. It would just be David, IC Isin here right now, ow theconstruction is a problem o especially like during, like, like I can hear it when I'm trying tosleep or like during class like it's loud. It's it's crazy to think thatespecially it feels like just in that area. You have arming ton underconstruction. You have east Wayne under contruction, you know, have that's notquinby. Is it now? It's not Quindy Quindyes, my iest! Don't I can'tremember like I don't think that there's been any time since we got oncampus my freshman year our freshman year, that there has not been some sortof construction going well because aren't they doing like the every summer? They're going to renovate a dorm thatb EAS LIK likew, which is admirable, anda lot of those storms need to be renovated, but also like, like can't cant, we just like live inpeace for like one semester like I don't know it's crazy, because it'sjust more peop, more and more people are coming to worcester. Like I meanyou've done work with emissions right, yeah. Isn't this? Isn't this one of thethis thing, the biggest CA, thebiggest, yeah ev or something L K? It's so bigthat they have there are. I know there are O tawen apartment. Oh I heard about thatbecause they're in my FYS, so literally they have like they have like a kitchen.I citchin and like it's crazy B, t tonniveris, also a freshman living inbrush. What's in a triple yeah with twoseniors at least one J, I think they're bothjuniors because their third roommates abroad goceand, so she gotohgot brush Tasr Yeah, which is which is crazy, butit's just it's tough to because you just don't have enough spaces on campusnoparkingor par pots. IARKING SSEAWELL THEY KEEP shutting. They keep closingparking lots like on campus O for Construction and it's just yeah. We already don't have enough. Ihave a friend a Mi ben saying who say it call up. I don't Rowhe's, not reallymy friendts actually really nicename, but basically Yo oneas, he'll,neverlisten othe, SOS fine he's a senior. He has a traffic conb that hestole from Secure, Oh my God, and every time he goes out. He just puts it inthe Scot, an his spot, he's Ben doing it for two years and he's always hadthat spot. Now, I'm not saying Li a look for a Trai cocas, mstry yeah. Idon't even have a car on campus, but I'm going to go find that kids trafficcount a take it ne said, like that's like the kind of thing I feel like hecould like pass on like when he graduates he can be like here, I'mgiving this to Youer o like Ie. No more, we have TraoTrafficoraiokid, you get free tuition. If you carry on that honestly, it's a brave deed. You know someone hasto do it here. No bigger schools have this problem. No because it's offcampus, like Osu, do you have this kind of problem? Well, no IRL, even Dennison, which is about our size. They have a parking garage. That was all what. Ifwe made a parking garage, it would be the only Ontat I get this larger thanlike taller ones, but we could literally put it rightbehind the football stadium yeah. That's Sou Yeah like a couple stories:Eh Yeah it would...

...it wouldn't, or even in that parkinglot right, fi hand Holton to because it's like flatter ground and et couldbe a lot bigger right, but that would you have to I feel and woster you haveto go. Vert Berkly! You can't like bill out no yeah. I have to go up when youmake a lot of money with games, coffee journey, you can make an alumnicontribution and you can have acapai games parting. A parkin Gr Hav, my owninstagram, to t gameswe will have one spot in the parking garage with a coneon it. Just bline every spot has a coade in it: You're not actuallyallowed to park there. It's just a I'm. The only one Alov EPA right- it's justsorry, literally game, Farsy yeah, but no it's it's. You know what what makes wisterwiscster you know. Yeah. I don't even know I 'm trying to remember how westarted this conversation B, its been awrive yeah. We started with what'syour best and worst call Yeaho W. We we got the best one Akron, that's the bestone for Appin and they had TA. That's not chocolate and we were actuallytalking. There's another place in Akron called compass coffee and they don't have anyhot chocolate. They don't. They have a horrible, smorl Strai or was 't. It was very good, but it tasted like p.It was so Farr it smelled it smelled like Eit, not tastling, ver, good andit tasted like te a taearight. I do not condon the drinking of youring. So Alydo you drink? You don't like coffee, but do you drink anything with caffeineor you just don't the most caffeine I'll do is like acoke oabut caffeine has a really negative effect on my body where I'lljust start shaking it doesn't wake me up. I just shake Ao. I just swear itoff, got it yeah whet you gave o you. Obviously you toKame trick. COFFEE IS HA WOA YYEAH! What's your favorite, so we havelisteners in Australia on the UK and everything. So what's your New Zealandfirst of all, Yeah Shiother, studying aboad from heshut up the Ar ar we justGota certainlike, shot it out, yeah Rl. Having call I youron there like younow good, but this isn't live well, make it livelose. Do you guys know howYoyondo O atd ot to get likeshut down like turn into a Web? Only thing, butisn't that great? Because we on somebody told me Ising, I donwanttocall t onaroayou Boyi Thinko wise. If you need last Ni, at least I'm not at least last lastepisode, I told everyone that' Sydney, Sanida shop liffs, I guess IUS tid inTis Shopli to u you did to you, RNABOUTWA. Have you looking here'seone?Have you guys ever shoplifted, intentionaly or unintentionally, thes aigt, intentionallyone, TC, riht intentionally? Okay, I stole aunwrapped mini penguin figuring from Packatan oppackminy ags Christmas scarps andlittle hat. How big are we talking like like about an inch okaye, smaller EAH?There was a. There was a pack of them and you only took one. I took one. Myfriends took the other one, so he totally probably took a whole pack, butit was open when we got there. So it was like that was like a Wehang owedidn't open it. We have en upon the circumstance and we're like Whoa, thoseare really cute. So we took one M and then we we on tons like whisper. Yes, we alsocasually like we actually bought stuff. To so does that make you feel betteryeah, I did see didn't do the same thing. He walked out of the store withsletters and socks. Actually, the new...

...accidentally, I'm music quotation marks.I don't know Whit You'e seen me, but accidentally we're using I't 'er SOE, anything from a store, but from other like from other people, yeahso story time, so ias, probably seven or eight yearsold- and you remember those cosmic brownies yeah with the little likecolor the little deppis COSBAC brownies. They were like little like I'll try tofind a picture. They're like the little brownies and sweare. None of they werejust pris cut. They had little like colored like thoughts on the top. Ohyou're Y COSC Bros. Like literally, I think, every kid aadult is obsessedwith them. Yeah they're, very GOODB. You can only eat like one or else youfeel like you're gonna do ho they just kind of taste like Plasta yeah they're,like I think I think I still at them, because it's like the memory I know is e et no, but I love thesetheses. CONSMC broundings and I was like seven or eight years old and mymom brought home some cosmic brownies like in the box like because what elsewuld they come in right, sierit waslike. It was a here not even rap ture, some Kino no,but she brought him some cosmic Gradis as like a treat because, like okay, myparites were really weird. Like we had rules on cereal, like we were onlyallowed to eat cereal that was under ten grams of sugar up until we wereprobably like in high school Gohn. Like Yeah YeahDavids from Fay, Areaa, I' Ot, very so whole food, cerial Wer we get out, ohlike we can't afford wole foods here, but we they area n a Nowe had a nice all dese cereal ormarks. Sorry, I'm looking at the atthe recording a that's going to be a lot of shit like all that last on thesame time, but Dai a ix e, but I just but on just posteaction yeah sorry, soyeah o Brownis O my mom brought hemn. These COIC BRAS and she's, like she putthem in our like lunches or lets, have em. If we like did something good orlike like didn't mess up the house too bad or whatever, and we're too annoyingso like she put him away, and I was just kindof like minding my own business. I think I was probably en finalling somepaper to color and they were in like one of her drawers when I was lookingfor stuff. So I was like Oh Gosha. I found the Jacktine I'm going to take aconsmant Brownie. So I did- and I thought it wasn't obvious because likethere's four in the pack right but like I was like seven years old yeah, I noI'm not gonna Nowitis, but she did- and this was right aroundthe time of my my friends birthday party. Okay, they found out. I wasn't allowed to goto the birthday party because I tok the COPME BRAC Bu. Here's the best part, myparents madme write a card with Lik a gift cardin it and Sayd. I said they made me say dear so, and so I'm so sorry. I can't come to yourbirthday party. I took a consnact Brownie from my parents and I'm writingthis card because they will not. Let me go to your Birthayi hope. You have agreat seven year old birthday party regards regard and Theyathey Ma me rite a card. Canyou imagine getting that card like on your birthday? I know my best friendwas probably like roans, like the foot Likegoi Brownie, like Butshe, probablyWlikifen, Taret Gift Card yeah good for him, like you didn, have to. I think Ifeel like that. Dealing is like it's Al as at's whatever, but I feel likestealing from your parents are like, like I used to take my sisters,Halloween an candy all the time, Rachel's not calghl up with theirepisode. So she'll hear this, probably around Hallowee in time. U I used tojust out of her bag like all the like yyeah, because Theye all up goodcommunity EA. One time I was hanging...

...out with my friend Ben Halsh, that ereally old friend shout to Ben Hossi ooeisn, but his mom, his mom as super strikt, like no sugar like every time he came over. If there was any sugar in myhouse, he would just consume it like a vacuum like it was, and so one time is, I don't know where our dads weren'ta band together. So they had a show at was. Was the band chop teeth? Afrofulk big band shoutedto Jeaa o you could find other on itunes Pandora Youtube wherever shoutthem out, shout hem out, but so so it was just. It was just me Ben and ourmoms and our moms are in the other room and before, like the night, my mom hadlike made like a lemon pound cape or something, but it was like one of theseones. That's like in a circle, slike, a bunkcake or whatever, and sothen- and I were just hanging out- were like set probably like seven same ageand were just hanging out around the house yeah and we walked by and he waslike, I'm just Goinna cut like he cut a tiny little sliver off the end likeBecaus, he was like no one will know, so he cut a tige little sliver off andate it, and I was like I want to do that too. So I kind of tined a littlesliver up and our hous. My House has like a circle pattern. So every time wepassed the cake we caught another like Kiny, little sliver off were like noone's going to notice and then weere down were in my basement hanging out, like probably like watching something- and I hear my mom go Nicholas Richardtericus and I was like. Oh no and we walk upstairs and we hadn't been payingttention to the whole kake because we were like we only take a little notlenot and like wed literally like half the cake was like gone like we ate, wejust ate so much and it was very clearly missing and I don't thinkanything happened to me because my mom was mad at me, but his mom flipped outbecause she was like way more intense, and so he got an a lot of trouble. Idon't think I don't remember anything Ik. I don't think I wow cat's for atall yeah you gotyisit funny how that Hapns, like you, TAK adfuls Lik,whatever thaal whtever, yeah iill get drained, andnext morning my brother will wake up and say WTHEHELL Onseri Yeah. It's I'm definitely like a Nibbler like asill open like something I we both are. We both thought wer will open somethingeat like two cheeses put it back and en come back. Five minutes later grab likefive tortia chips and then do the same thing for me, like likeawe, like aVarie here, TAT's a allying game. But then my parents get mad because I'mnever like I'll either like not shut the box, all the way or like we don'thave enough clip, so I like drinkle it up and then like somoh yeah. I did thatmy sister gets mad at me for that yeah, it's wisil Stale! That's why te myJooyeah? That's why you reclit Itral Lik its I like to what else do you dothe Pissas, your sister oftme? I leave like I'll drink like all themilk tat leave like a little tiy bit, and I just leave the carton in thefrigemymom and my sisterd to Ibad Nice cream and leave the tub empty in theFREEZEA. Also I do thati'm guilty AC this. My dadreceiving Emy Dad's familyused to do this and it's gotten passed on to me and my sister.
