I love rumors fat could be SOM, misleading te Rimens, true orpons are often reveling, O wasjuier trag. I MTO view Quitan Jeytook a look inside I mcues gonaeaawelcome to episode four. This is with Nickan David, I'm nick,I'm David and you're, with both of us, so yeah same format is always we'reboth going to present a couple topics, bring it a guest, see what they want totalk about just jump right into it. I guess yeah.Do you undo your Tomic Yeah I'LL START I'll start with one? I want to talk about chrome, extensions.Okay, do you use chrome extensions, one? It's just a ad on to a password manager. I thinkokay, so just like Wil Outo fhill right. That's it! Okay! Interesting because, like there are useful ones right, I thought you were going to. I thought, because I know you used grammarly, so I thought you were going to say that do I use the grammarly chrome extension,it's not important anyway. I Oa my actually think used to Oky, okay yeah.I think there are a lot of really useful ones out there right. So you'vegot like PASSFORD managers, you've got gramarly like editing extensions andthen you've got the ones that'll like help. You focus on tasks by likeshutting down social media and like not letting it access it for a while. I have one called POLITTECO sopolitecho that basically goes through your facebook and will create a graphfor you about how polarized your facebook profile is so like how many friends youhave from each political party and things anyway. There are a lot ofreally interesting ones, but I've also been seeing a lot ofpolitical ones. Lately, Yknoim I'm a teaching assistant formedian politics, and so the other day we were going through and looking attrump's tweets and the other Ta tolly Kobe was basibally, showing us that she has. This extension on her computer called make trump tweets eit again that justkind of creates, like all. If you go to his twitter profile, all of thes tweetsare like strolled in, like eighth, Greater Handwriting, Oh my God yeah, which is kind of funny, and then they've got others to so. Youknow the daily shows put out a couple, so they put out one called McDonalddrunk again, because there was a whole thing a while back where trump wasbasically saying that I think tight cruse was the focus but that he hadchanged his name, and so the daily show went back and found out at the TRUNPfamily changed their name and so there's an extension. Now that willjust change trump's name wherever you find it to Drumt, and then you get others so like there's.There are a bunch of that are just trump filters that are just supposed toremove him entirely from the Internet. So you don't have to even see him, and so there are a lot of these. And soI've been thinking about this, and I might be prime to think about theseextensions in a certain way because I've spent the last year and a halfresearching political polorization. But that seems problematic to me. I get that there's entertainment valueand I get that everyone has their own politicalbeliefs, but I also think at the same time, you're segmenting and isolatingyourself from new stories and from kind of the reality of the politicalworld, and I'm worried that I guess you're creating this extreme echochamber for yourself and that it's not just about who you talk to, but about how you canceptualize even kind of I guess in this case, trump'sactions are thought or Conservative, political figures and policies, because, like there's uncantaiment value of...

...looking at all this tweets as ifthey're written by eight graders, but at the same time that's Gong to bedoing something the how you just even conceptualize him as a person right yeah, I mean so aare you talking about any of theseextental, the ones that specifically remove him from the Internet completely. Yes, censoring allmedia content right, I mean I mean I think, there's a difference right. Ithink the ones that just remove him are may be more problematic, but the ones even the ones that justchange the way his name spelled are like making. You think about had acertain way Y yeah. I think it was both ways I meanthere are others like there's someone that, as I think, thanks Obama ontolike every news headwine, you find so it's like both sides, but these areheones t even so. Do you think that that's how different do you think thatis from say like? But let's like Tha, okay, I'm thinkingof like SNL sketchet enses with Alik Vodwin and like that kind of thing? How?Because these extensions sound like a form of form of comedy right right, Imean most of maybe the ones that entirely aly like get rid of him fromthe Internet. That's just shirt whatever, but like the Onden, eighthgrade handwriting fom, eight eight year old, handwriting thing that sounds likecomedy. So how do you see a difference in that? Sowe're dangerously close to my independent study topic right now? OhYeah? U Analyzi Yeah, I'm looking at lato comedy, that's a whole of it!Maybe we'll do we can do an is Monday episode where we both yeah to our yeah, but you see a difference in that. Is that a lot good question? No, I mean, I think I think that's thesame in a lot of ways, I mean it's parody right, like you're, changingaspects of his content or his name or hispersonality to exaggerate different things. So yeah it's I mean it iscomedy, but that's why I looked at by independent Studieis, because there's alot of research that suggest that comedy is tied really closely to emotional identity andpolitical identity is a really big part of your identity and very emotionaloftentimes. So I think it is comedy, but I think that that' still maybesomething I think about, because I think that let's say people who use chromeextensions are thirty and younger right. Unlesssomeone thirty or younger installs, I or somebody aner thirty sor, like I'm,making a huge, gess right, ou but like, and so I'm saying that, because is it also true, maybe that ourgeneration does not get our news off of watching live television every day yeah I get itfrom reading B, weget it from reading stuff online, because we're collegestudents who can have basic, no cable of that kind of thing, rigt and so f.Our only source of media, Oreverour, lysource of news is reading articlesonline and our only sourts of newsis being filter like that, then yeah, I tk. that's a that's an interesting point, becauseit's one thing to watch like I mean I watch news stuff on TV and try. I watchSL sketches or whatever Stevin Cobertstuff. Like I can remember. Oh, I saw that in its trueform m. This is not the first time like without this witbout the Commedat yeahyeah, but I know that a lot of people like your is porsist. A lot of people learn about news literally throughcomedy on the first run down yeah yeah a lot more people yeah. This is this is kind of I didn'tI didn't anticipate getting into. My is what I brought this in, which isinteresting, but it's tricky because I don't want to like go too much intothat and change what we're talking about, but also I do want to addressthis but yeah. Now. I just think that there are small things and smallbehaviors that we all do every day that probably are affecting are and not justpolitically but like affecting our even basic conceptualization of theworld around us yeah that we don't...

...think about. That's interesting, there's also a cromexcension that I have that I would like to shut outbecause it's I laugh every time. I see it and I don't know what it's calledexactly that you can search it, but basically it anytime. The wordmillennial comes up or millenials. It changes it to snake person or snakepeople. So when you get those articles that are like millennials are killingthe housing market. Instead, it's like snake people are killing the housingmarket and I don't know why it's so small, but I laugh every single time Isayn. So a hundred percent yeah hundred percent rigcoman at chrome extensions, don't know why I've never yeah. I iactually have three crim extensions,so use o Tero. The sitansame thing yeah as I do use chrom extensions, but Ijust kind of went on a rabbit hole this last week. Looking at be you have achrome book right, I do have a Chrombu yeah, I'm all is N. is this when thisstarted yeah a little bit? You rer, like Oh yeah, yeah intrigueing, soanyway, yeah wanted to talk about that cool. What you got well, I kno. Last week we talked about the city brought up the corona virus yeah Iwas reading, so I gant to talk about cruise ships. Okay, you can tell what this is going. So have you been on a cruise? I've neverbeen on a cruise now, so I went on one in high school because a friend wonthis ecademic competition thing and thenWitho, like seven of his family. People were going to go and then one personcouldn't go, and so I was invited o Wy Weorat your high school friend, onecruise, like literally like I'm like someing. It was a math. It was Necko iklike not affilate. With my school Gotcha, I got it oelike, that's likealitprize for O, like seven cres tickets, doin Alaska, yeah e was likeyou Anto Goiwas, like my God. I've never been on a cruise. The onlyconcept of a cruise I had was like sweet life on deck or wall yeahyeaolike. Well, even he go the spaceship, so you know, but it was really fun and I did not feel isolated in,like all it was the less stress. I was the least stressed in my life traveling, because there's no airplane like no right there's something like o worryabout. I was shock tat. I actually liked it, but and I've been telling my family foryears because, like if in our life, you know like mybrother or my brother Finisheds College, which is not eonly a first year butler's like we're talking like we should go on some trip. You know right in ofGrand Grandshirt, scheming, stuff, you know fantasizing whatever, and I'm likewherever we go, we shoul do on a cruise, because I'm telling you it's the leastyou know naver theyre like no, no Nohas, weird and now with this crona virusstuff I've been reading like first of all, I guess. Last year, cruise ships av like crashed and stuff there's been like crazy incidents andthen right now, like all of the stuff with like. So I guess that there's acruiseship that's on princess diamond for Siste, okay, whatever, and theyhave had an outbreak of the primnavirus on Teboaship, whatever right and sothey're getting denied entrin to ports, Oh yeah, so they are literally likeYeah Wul me. I wouldn't want them coming in AF ar exactly so theyve beenout in the middle of the at se like going here and saying: No, you can'tcome and is they go to another country? They go to all these different rportsto try to you know get in in and it's spreading like man and like it'ssuch a like. I'm reconsidering my thoughts andopinions on a cruise because I'm like wow, like that's literally like my worst nightyou're like if you're stuck on a ship with like a virus going around. You know yeah, there's no, there's no way to get off...

...of that yeah and, like I guess I meanin an airplane, it's the same thing, but airplanes are short. I mean it'sMosts Long, yeah you're not stuck for a prolong you're, not like eating andsleeping and doing activities with other people, and so like. I just I'm wondering if, like I mean what do you think I guess, whatdo you think about cruise ships? Quite sat any of this stuff. I think it'sHilarious, that coronavirus is killing your dream of going on a cruis withyour familyis yeah because, like I'm not like, I'm not i'v, never reallythought of myself as someone who would enjoy a cruiseit like I get the appeal, but a I don't know I might be like you, I might go and be like. Oh, this isreally nice, but I just don't thers thing right. There's a lot of young people on cruise ships like our age, becausetheir families want everyone to get together on the Chrustan and the youngpeople are dragged there then they're like oh great. I got it and then youneed a bunch of cool people from all over. It's really fun, but do you. Thisis a tangential question, but do you did you meet anyone on that cruise?Well, yeah? I made tons of friends. You still talk to them. I'm just curious O. I could have Iguess, but it was. It was kind of cool because we had no on Nihe. We probablyhave wify Onall the cruises, but the cruise we were on, like Yhad, O pay forwhy Shacs we did pay for it and also there's no cell service. So I'm noteven kidding it was like we met. These people met more people, and then wewere all like right. Let's meet at the battl of the ship at Ninepm, like I'm,not even kidding like ninetm cruise time, because I didn't know what rightrug, Rin, ihav cruise time, Rihya it's so like it was really cool Tan. We wentoutside to the Bal, it was like nine o'clock an night and there was wind andeverything we were like. Oh my God, you think they're going to come here. Idon't know why we decide to beet there weculmit right somewhere, comfor, whatever cozier, but then, of course, you man, it was cool like that. I feltlike I was in like the whatever time period, not have phonessure, whatever time period. That was, but you know it in that sense. Yes, butif I went ind there, I didn't make any new friend. You know like it's adefinitely a lot of time to spend with right the people you're going with- andyou know I don't know so I just I'm kind of rethinking like my. I just don't know. If that's somethingI like being out at C like I think I getclaster phobic, someone who told me this somebody told me: Maybe it was one ofyou guys at dinner. Probably not I use youtube video. Someone told methat the craziest thing is that you know like wee we're sitting in thismedia studio right now, yeahind of like a tygpt space, little shirt of it notreally, but we feel fine because we can leave itany moment right. We know or you Tellin me this. I don't know wbut. This soundsfamiliar. You might have en someone else like yeah Weres, like if you're atprison or something Oh, we were tie aof this dinner, Henry or Graci, and one ofthem like when you're in prison like there Ol this was. This was theconversation about like prison reform, maybe yeah ye h. But the point I wasreally cool is like when you're in jail like there is no, you can't leave right, even if it's agiant yeah. This was Henry Henry was like if you're staying at the five starhotel, but you could not leave it's til Le Thenit, still a prison yeah. I thinkit's there's a difference between you know, and so, if you're on a cruiseshipwhich is glamorous and really spacious and honestly like I did not feel likethere were thousands of people sershit like I'm, not even kidding like it wasthat spaced out. But if I was told that there was a outbreak or the ship wasdown and we had to sit at sea for a week right, they could give me all thefood and coctail it woal Stil. I would be like, Oh my God, gotta Get out ofhere, that's interesting, because that it makes that makes me think I meanthis is not a totally what we're talking about, but like Clastrophobia,I not about the space. It's about the...

...free will part like people who areClasso, PROIC, aren't afraid of being in small spaces, they're afraid of notbeing in control. I think I am honestly clostophobic anhat. That's interesting sinse I mean onetime you landed in Cleveland, atter, thanksgiving break and Itwas all thosestorms and stuff, and we had to sit on the runway for like Woniv Ecan, twohours yeah and I was like Wae Cleveland Hopkins in aNational Airport. I hope you're listening to this AK, you guys suck. You know. Thi Calsi was I pred, fronter airlines frontier their fault, becauseunited airplanes landed after us and they got priority because they actuallyown the gates there. Frontier just lends off of so it's your fault forforing fronter. So if this is, this is atever to eon, okay, yea, a voucher, but expired a month, oonhlater anyway, so yeah. Well, that was on a circle butyeah. Well, that's of thoughts that a I'm not going o a Cruise ShitCruise Chris ships can't let us know tweet at us, at Nick DavidShow on Social Mada Yeah we're going to take a quick breat and then we'll comeback rap over last topic topics and then well have or guesten okay. So we're back I'm going to justlaunch into my next topic right. I don't really know that there's a asegue inthat is that makes sense, just because it's kind of an absurd story.Wha is you topic after all of our brakes, your tolping is like it's like. I don't know. No, it's notit's. Just as I don't know our guest who yould meet a second texted both ofus before this, and I was like what happens if we have the same topic and Ibasically said I guarantee you neither of you have any of by topics. So I think that there's this trend ofpeople marketing themselves creatively, yeah, that's a very vague statement, but I'm talking like I'm specifically thinking about there was a while backir was a guy who created a website that was like hiher, Markcom or whatever, and it had his resume and then he put the website and like his picture up onlike billboards and created like social media as like Tere, there are ways thatpeople are trying to get things done outside oflike length an or traditional fields right. So that's a I' like to talk about aspecific man. His name is Jeff Gebhart. He is forty, seven years old, he livesin prairie, village Kansas and he is offering twenty five thousand dollarsto anyone who can find him a girlfriend, wow yeah. He basically says I read it interviewwith them. He's basically said that he's tired of dating APPS, so, likehinge, bumble tinder he's like they're. I think you actually used. The wordToxlih, which I know is one of your favorite words, and he also said basically, you knowlike the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and overagain and expecting different results. And that's what happens when you get onthese dating APPs to that's right. You know, tinder is a fucking slot machine.Oh, it totally is beasshe going Dingding Dan Dingding and thenhopefully one of them was like you matched right. If you're th, I mean Godyeah. No, so he's totally on the same page as you for that, so he gottogether with a couple of his friends and put together o website. I'm goingto pull it up now, just so I can kind of scroll through it. Oh, this is goyhe's forty seven damn yea. So I'm goingna pull the website and I'll talkyou through it. If you're listening and would like to pull it up, that'd bekind of fun. Just so you can see what I'm talking about a the website is date:Jef, gcom,...

...okay, so right off the bat you'llnotice that he's being very clear about the fact that he's offering to paysomeone who can find my girlfriend twenty five ousand dollarshe's, alsogoing to donate twenty fivezand to a no killed dog show yeah, so he's thrownthat in there so he's rich. He is definitely rich. He's got a lot ofmoney, so basically he's offering fifty tsan dollars o for someone who can findhim love. There are terms and conditions to this, which is why there is an asterics by the first twenty fivehousand he has todate. Whoever gets referred to him for an entire year is Goingto, say and thenyeah and then the payments come in like five thousand dollar Installentes, but yeah. So there's it's a very fullwebsite. It's a very complete website. There is a lot of information on here. There are photos of him all of his bioinformation. There is a introductory video of him explaining, essentially, why he's doing this with cut ing with some beerole of him playing with thisdog, so you know he's a genuine person and then there are different pictures, there's informationabout who he is his kind of life, his career thing about how e enjoys fitness thatis titled. I was a Chunka monk about how I used to be Chubby, and then hegot in shape. I guess- and then probably my favorite part at the bottom scrolling testimonials from his friendsand parents about what a good person he is, which I think is hilarious and thenmore photos and at the bottom o there ar links. So, if you're, if you think you're a good fit forhim, you can Siv it an application. You won't get paid if it goes through, but you can also create an application like refer a friend basically and he'llget in touch with. He thinks it's a good fit and then there's a link thatsays I like apbase dating and if you click that link it takes you to a pagewith a video of the ain't. Nobody got time for that. AL, that's reallyprety mix. So this is like a full website, and I just don't. I don't know what todo with this. I don't really even have anything to ask you. That's likepinping out is literally like man I mean: Do you think it'll work, Iguess, is the R as the first queston pressure. That would be what, if youwere the woman that dated for a year then decided like it didn't work outand then all of a sudden, it's like O, no, that guy o donated like twenty five,an a shelter and then he gave twenty five posode and so like wel guess whatthey're broken up now. Yeah Sucks for hand Al that woman is horrible, O, myGod who would want to you know I just a I'm like tickled by this entire IBShandis like w. They got be looking like prayri hilly, tress yeah just be right.I mean this website is, is not like it's not re, so, like man, that's too much pressure. Hisfriends describe him, as quote a lighthearted jackass high energypositive and always has a big smile on his face. I mean he seems like a genuinelyinteresting guy. He's got this whole section. Basically saying like I lovemy life. I'm not doing this because I hate myself and talking about how, likehe's run with the Bulls in Spain and he's jumped out of airplanes and he'ssnowboarded wearing like pink bunny costumes, and then he's got thingsabout his work and like flipping real estate or like hosting charity. Eventsare like buying a bus with his friends, essentially likean old bus to take to bar crawls, and things like he's genuinely seems like areally interesting dude. But this is bizarre. I don't know Idon't know what to say d. let's say like I like told my parents, I was datingthis person, like I just can't imagine like yeahlike Mom Dad, whoever like I'm. How did you guys meet? Well, there's thiswebsite. There was a website. One of my...

...friends referred me yeah, because, andthen I also can't help to think, though, like let's say like I have a friend whothinks a fit or whatever, but man we make this some kind of deal like I'llget paid the money, but then I think ICAN give her some right or not swlitit. If not give her more. Why isn't he giving the person who I donght? I guess that Wasn Thats, evenworse, yeah ecause, Enyou, othat' yeah, that's kind of sad. I want to hear likethe Sega here's. The question, though, like I want the reverse applicationlike why, if You'e dus awesome, why haven't youfound somebody? Well, it Dus say yo good for the world, it says he's beenon yeah. I have no idea right. That's the million dollar question. It saysthat he had this idea after his last breakup and that he didn't want to getback on dating APPS. So, like theoretically,he's had relationships in the past, I don't know it's curous and thenthere's this whole thing also that if you click on the part just because Iwas exploring, if you click on the link, that's like I'd like to nominate myself. It takes Yo to this page, where hetalks about how he has created a personalitymatching analytics or PNA kind of software developed by a clinical psychiatrist. That's based on the like big five personality tests, but customize to him. So he's spent time creating this likepersonal mashmaking task. If you're this interesting and you gostollboarding and you jump out of planes and you have all theseconnections and you flip houses- and you do you can't tell me like this. Hething right, like dating after great for people who live in like areas wher, they can't meet people that their shart want to be or like they yet they're, just community. Youknow if they don't get out that much or whatever, but if this guy is alwaysoutdoing stuff, the I swear like there's had to be tons of like woman inthis man's lane. I forit, who have either been like trie to maybe flur or ask him out, orvice o versa. Yeah he's just not. He needs to stop looking big EESD to looksell. I did Yo soms upon you. Man, like you know, like I mean that's how Imeant my girlfriend right if I was not his whole. His whole rational for thisis like dating up suck, but I did have the thought that, like dating apps are'life like there are other ways to meet people and dating ar still are fine butlike, if you know like I mean if you're that active and you traveland you do all these things and you're exposed to a lot F different places andcultures and communities and people rigtly women like for him like I just Ifeel like he's, looking he's, not looking closetothough yeah and if he should get so munty five thousanddollar. Just becauseI'm saying this I mean oviestly, I don't know what you canaly say aboutthat promise you, if, if our guest walks in here with this topic, I willget up and leave and quit this podcast forever. I cannot imagine yeah nowayall right, that's it! That's all! I want. I just wanted to share that withthe world. That's really interesting. Would you date jf G, let us know:What's The wabsiting again Dan Jfgd da jfgcom up gdall right right, I don'thave the other topic cool it did, but it was no. You you're good! Well, WeresEric cut you for time, yeah, WE'RE gonna! Oh sorry, Noo you're, fine, we're going to take aquick break and well be ato. These messages, ere back, were back. Indol e people Andsinua me Followe, like if we have likesixteenusand, that's a long BP e me say: Toso I'll, just I'll. Just let's sayit's like a two second beef, no matter what number it sats t really long, beapthink about how Lon Tas Lik all right, Ibout STRAPP in last season, so about two years ago wedoi this. We were averaging, I think right. Listen! We were we actually weren't.Like Y. Did I nwe're eting? Now, no now it's likebetween, depending on who our guest is and kind o see. We, your Click Bait, your he's, our CLICKFAT. Yes, I mean you'R, definitely promise this ill, Ethemostviewe episd,it's a podcast. You listen to no, but mostly yeah people are going to listento it, but a lot of people are going to look at it. NAMES FO! All Right! Ask Your question. I talked about well, first off, do you use any chrome extensions? Yes, which ones the browsery like the Whi, Ting yeah, the you knowCRONP, I don't know. No, that's not not like the belie of the little extensionon Yo can go up to, like I don't know David US ones, a man as managedpasswords. Anyway, they do different things and wetalked about GIV me an example Yeahnsfo, like those thingsyeah hrome instead ofs the browsers likewtcro extension is, has a full browser in it. I was like yeah he's Coe, know likethat. Don't Thinkno, I don't good. I've had I've had them before and then I'got right. We just talked about how there are a lot of political ones that, like like there's one that, like turns all over bless you that turns all ofTrumps tweets into like handwritten eighth grader, look at Handriadi yeah, so we're talking about howthere's a lot of eting value there. But it's maybe not the best thing for likeyour political Behaviorr, U Kno, yeah and then. Secondly, would you take Jepg? You mean the man, you just showed me:Yeah Jeg Yeah JCOM, so you I was sitting here and then you justturned that computer toas me you're like wild. You date this man and I was I first of all, didn't think this wassomething that you had talked about in podcast yeah, because why would youtalk about because it's absurd, ah he's giving twenty five ZanOrathersdotweiek dog shelter that doesn't kill I'd? Much rather hang outwith the dog right, which has a name that I read earlier: It's probably like, lucky or or single, or it's Gon, O Gunner, conner, O you thina is bogsingle guner, goner com, Yor, good golden ootreaer, the butter, its Uto,the single yeah. I guess you're right, I'm notlike Ningle Ait Maeme, his whole identity. Isn't that he's looking for agirlfriend? I don't know nickiswebsit about Ittyeh, so we talked about thatand we talked about cruis ships and how they're terrifying, because you can'tescape. I love Chruse Shi. We O R. I...

...have so my dad who works for Anassa. Heworked on when he was working on Roo, which is the one that where they found a bunch of water onthe Oh yeah Ik, I think. Well, I think the ten two SEPRT projects Atas at thesame time, so one like hits it's the moon- sends up e huge like thing of moon, rosts and Shit right and then thean lro orbits Temon is like Hey. What's all this stuff on, the Min Honi found abunch of Water Gatcha and you went on the cruise lot water. So while he was working on that theyhad like a this was a while ago so sur my memoryisn't perject, but they had like a annual meeting and the meeting wasalways like somewhere pretty cool right like I don'te you would get like Denveror like somewhere. You know other place when I think Col wit, BaSenver, and I ca love to that Veris cool. Actually, it's really high nnumber of like places in the US andit like altitude, wise yeahy. That is true!Oh did you know that Mexico City has a higher elelation than Denver. I did notyeah, that's the other sode guys thatwas, Yrndso, Muchyeah and Thenso.Every five years like NASA, would do like this fullypaid like Super Nice. Like thing so one of those years it was acruise like completely fully Paine Crenasa fertime family David didn'teven have wifias cruise. He said you have life in your cruis. Well, Watcruise IWHENI was likedavid's. Cruise was the result of his friend winning mathcompetition in high school. My school did not pay forever mys in the kind ofposl Hing Wen to Las Guy wit, like dog ledding, with the Sibarian huskys andShit, and the cruise was awesome. But then now I'm reading, like the coronavirus, there's literally a cruise ship that has a hummassive outbreak of itand they're being denied a entry to ports instead of just running aroundlike ohe're, going to go theyre under goit yeah. What the Hell so David takesme closeto. Let's turn him off of chrus ships about WETOBVOUSL nothat's, exactly tow Knntold me t e Cru, tipsare afloating ptrinis of Cronabars, all of themzin cruise shift, I'm surethey're referring to like the relevant ones, but it's scary man. It was alsothe en that fron the Vocano exput. It wasn yeah allthe people that died. Oh, I do know what you're talking about right. Wasn'tthat Yeahi hear so that had just like Saat look with cruisesthey, don't work, arplanes cool! So do you have things or thing that youlike to talk about sure? Wait. What are the things wewould? We talked about ROM extensions, crimise, chromextensions, jushcheeseand cruiship tjgcom as it so three yeswhat's your toing. So, first of all, I'm completely notprepared o this. I do have two topics. Most people are Hore. You not prepared, but okay, it's okay, Davi and I will turn whatever you say into fifteenminute discussion. So that's fine, but I can talk for a long time. I yeah okay, like do additional REC. So what you got?...

Okay, so most people that haveinteracted with me to much of any degree. A few years have heard me, ask themhends or tails. Oh Fuck, right Doyeah! No Eric does it every time weroom together. It was rether. He was the time Rih. Every Tim, Lik Everye GT,Ri Wa, do his homemark, but Vieo gave you an SOM like let hack let shirt whateverything and then I asked them. I forget caus I go so annoyed. Itwaslikeyou died, wher id you get in FROMT. You met it from a podcast, okay. No, I got it from a high school teacer, OMine Ni. Can you guess which one Kevin Sandell Twa went to school together high schooltogether, but we didn't meek yeah. We went to hi school Ai, a still, I don'tknow thatwas together in Anywarnotheyeah, commentation Wanodo. You know that thisPesso ar teacher says heetails. I know that this professor is a loose cannon, exn, no Ye, just as a person sure yeah, so he has more than I yeah so he's He god. I hope he listens to this caetionTel is the greatest teacher. I've ever had in high school teacherof investorteacher Inechin Botyeah he's a Taser, but he teaches education. I Dor uper. Isorry professorop. He does so. He caught a couple things. He taught research methods which was amealingless class for the magat program and in basically he had ten years so hewould just do whatever he wanted in the class coday. I hope he's listening and then the other one was philosophyWi, which is wire yeah, the class it her took. So he philosophy, behindheadsand tails he. So he I'll just give you a couple examples of fitness thathapened in his Conte one is the first day of school. We camein and he said he basically did a long sigh and then was like this is going tobe a really long semester. We were allike yeah and he was like okay. Wecould do it normally and I'll just grade uall normally or we could go backfive years and calculate the number of as a number of bees and nuversseas andthe berthdes and ease thatd. I usually give in these classes- oh yeah, whatever wha, yes, yeah, because ASER. I think the reasoning was the Abslor, like you Knowki dailure yeah, which yeah basically noshit, but so he waslike he was like ilgrageying. I could crade you normally or will calculatethe average for all these grades. Put them in a hat. You pull that great out.Whatever gradge you pulld out is your grate for the semester, and then we canjust fuck around for heads or tails is a Anass Foi. I think hs literally theSaand, so he we voted on it and decided not to do it, but this is the same class that, likehe made as GE digital down time for a week like we had to disconnect from allof our social media and e en you didohad a choice between Ta somethingelse. Now that was that we all and then ye also had- and this is thelast story I'll tell about him, but I think this gives you a flavor for him,as professor is that we had to do this thing called tha change project everyyear, which is like just create change in your community, and so everyonepicked different things like my friend Donald Started, a nonprofit to helpshelonkon anpts and people born with ingeneral deformities and disabilitiesreally cool. I try to get a Ted talk to come to the school with a couple otherpeople, so you know same level and then this kin of Jay decided thathe really wanted goats goes. Ghost is in like Ike the an yeah,so he hethe only the only fight conditions on this project that theyhad to like help the community, and so I j, bought goats and kept them in hisback yard and made what I'm pretty sure was not FDA proved coches...

...for a while, and then we came in theclass one day and Chedell was like Howare, you all feeling, and most ofour projects had like failed at this point, so we were all like we can we'redone like this is fine and he was like cool projects over and Aj from the backof the room is like. I have a fucking goat in my backyardand. I think Yoended up selling it, but anyway, so a lot of weird things. Havein in thatclass, an thel is, to the say, the only teacher I will go back and visit. ISong overwinter break Athe's, wonderful, wow o. How did he tart? Why? I youadapt the heads oftail caswhat? Is He Toi't knowhe' spent PROBAB liketoentire classes over the course of the semesters tha? what Yo t rtalking about why you should flip acoin for likeevery decision and basically it was based on the study? I don't. I did't neveractually read that study. I was in ice school. I didn't you know, know whatreal academics was right so, but it was based on this study that basically, what they did was they they had a bunch of paintings andn like sense ofto, and then we bring people in and the control group. They would say: Ey like you can have this painting. They just choose one of painings. They like give them this painting and they tell them. You can keep uspainting, Itd, sudly, free or on the other rand, like you can in this ext number of days. If you don't,if you decide you want the other paintted, you can come back andexchange it and totally up to you and then they did the same thing where theyallowed the te people to choose ISH PAINTINGRG and basicallythey found that the people that got to choose were way way more likely to comeback and strangeit. No, and I think there was other parts of thestudy. But overall they basically found that if you don't you don't have tochoose between. I remember you SLA this Yeo. Yes, if you don't have to choosebetween like, if you don't have to make achoice, then you're more likely to appreciate what you rite, but you doand because there's a thereis no feeling oflike woring reat about like Theoa Ben, like Whathavyo, did', tterwait, Bu,okay, continue n now believe in this. So so inlike intensely yeah that hesaid whenever a student came to thim and I was like Hey Shu Goy do remind tehelp. I need help deciding which college I'm going to go to. Oh, my goodyeah. That legitimately says you should flip a coin. He said his yeah, he toldme his first question was like how much does it cost and then, if they're,about the same price, that's like foot coin, yeah yeah, so I didn't do that Ayeah. So why areyou calld ster ID side until Thelast Day s during a baseball game? IRLIKE I was on. I was on my way to thegame, and I, and I had talked a lot to like in admission- is Gettin riht. Iyeah eavisions person that the other, the other college and- and I called himI was like hey like I just want to tell you likepersonally- I'm not comingto yeah. What cause. I fint me enquire:...

Jumio Juny AA in Washington. No, IT'S OE' Maer! Now whatyeahwas there Ei g on the JDO' start with go ister. Oh You'R, I've, a topic, I'm a second topic, backokay all right. There ere things like a huge percent of like on seventy five to ninety percentof their students, selfdesigner major ow, which is really nice, because I itsounds. You cannot measure in sports management at small, colrages orlikewster unless you do it for yourself, at's, o. So I actually spoke to aprofessor whohad done, O Nterestingnso cool all right, flipping coins, yeah Fiping Pin, so it basically it only really works and I'll do therest ickly, because then yeah yeah itd only really works. If you have, if you like legitimately plan to dowhatever the coin SD to do sure, because otherwise, like there's oPo Point, it literally defeats the purpose right. But one thing I found us I started doing. It was a lot of the time it helped me like realize that I wasn'tactually and like I actually did- have an opinion between the two and, if Idid realize, if I was careful like I could, I could go against the coinand then I think I took that too far and now I don't think the coerkges thecoint. Well, that's I mean because it's that you sa like there's always aninherent disappointment. Maybe if you fip the coint and it's not what youwant if you haven, if you have a natial preference, but you can't tellright a lot of the times you don't because everybod asked me and I swear.I said tales more, don't know if you come on to that, but I totally likeeigh twenty, I said tales yeah, I ti'm not even kidding when I was doing itall the time. I could I couldn't predect when has tils fuck tail there.I don't know that's COO Huh. You should get like aspecial coin. To carry right. Have the COINASS? No, that's, not yotheAnkiethea ICOR coins. I can't show the on the PODCAST, obviously because it'snot a closin everyone out there close your eyes and Imagi. So this coin, lessyou're driving an I reranged, all the APS. On my fom an I. I search that APEveryone di you want to search apps you slake down on the homes on IA, sat downwho's gonna, take that Ayor looking for, and so many people ask me that thisweek no, but I don't want to do that because then it doesn't mean greatwhere it ISN'n Myn, because I rerange my aps. This is a this is a rivetingaudio, experence Thi, the heads is a donkey and it'slike somewire, an its ears are up and it's all happy and then the COOtaithere's also Avertisin, that ONA drooping flower theyre making moneyevery time you fop a coin. You know that Youre W, like Itwhy, don't youmake an acte? I can Makeita Likeha, you anhse someoneto Eric Ainball, but it just says: like heads Ot, Tar, aball Oka, I tolo thatup every no matter what you say this US Arispiin coin. That's a good idea! Youenjoy that yeahall right, your second, I oa Sano. You Know How I met his dad,how you meat, Oh er, sad yeah, one of...

...the things we were in a heat game inFlorida, Oh yeah, then afterwards we went to a went to like a clike, a fun at you likereally didn't copy shop. It was, it was pretty. It was like it was Italian. No,I don't think it was no buy it. Wasn't it wasn't like it wasn't. A normal cofyplace. Is Nice comy place? So I got this like. I don't know what I was, Idon't know: WHYT got. It was like this like build your own Moka thing, so theyhad like they kive me, a hot tray with like tiping hot little glassing up tothe milk and a chocolate and this to that and you're supposed so portantthins, the kind of thing that Tristam Wounav yeah yeah that are like it', soArig'Sis Dad, I'm like Youre out here, Mik and stuff. You know exats like how is it is hot and I went and II waslike, think you a SOM. I wonder it started fumking like grab the wholething, tat, Hata Bur my hand and literally the whole straightover o ofhis dad and I'm like yeah, it's kind of mot and like mewhile, like my yes kindof hard in D, Hav, outat's, hlarsping, hot milk UF,I pan a on their way to Miami. They they had a drict, the same drive yeah.Apparently there are no bathroom stuffs the whole ting bit cood good times. David Tat's have hispodcaststory all right. Second Topic. Second Time your is not David CSO. This was kind of kind of crosses crosses over wt. What sihey talkedabout last week: Okay somthing talked about coronavirus, yeah talke, about China, in specificallytheir economy and the world economy. So, first of all I didn't do anyresearch, so could pardon me if I had I ical a ro like like either of us will be able tocatch you geti, Ecano speaking to the listeners. Okay, so, first of all, if anybody isn't aware there was atrade for ther was tranwork. I dndon't need to explain. I doubt itOan know: You're all smart people, onl, O ter Eo, so yeah trump was like Yo. We need Trao trumks like Yo, I feel, like I think you know. Isaacstarts every single story with ther I at Wa, blieving yeah yea hundredpercent yeah. Are you gonna start every story with Ho trump was like yeah, okay, fine tariffs and then more teriffs and thenmore terrorist right, more TERRORIS, etc. ETCR a terrible idea, Pul Lunch ofterrors yeah. I was interested in maybe not on the PODCAST, but because I don'tfollow politics like I on't right, but I do follow economics, so I didn'treally know politically how people sure were lev.You Te reacting yeah, but I don't. You may also have noticed that sense. This quote unquote truce that was announced like mid January. There has been like no no use at all yeah like absolutely nothing, hat's, aquiet. This trai Word Yeah and the agreement was supposed to Gom intoplace yesterday on e Tiesday, okay, we're talking about Ber, yeah oits, myha birthday, I happe Haveedat O me happy sorry, butit's only your half s, you look atthe rest, have a birthday Hav of O onc. I A...

...no I'd, really stay, he okay yeah, so it was supposed to. I believeit was supposed to going giinto place on Valantine's Day, and maybe it did. I don't know no teranything. I haven't heard F anything. The problem is well what sitting talked about lastweek, N Corona or Ovius. So since the announcement of that that truths were right thing, Ithink they called it like Stepe. One SURLIYEU because because the truth wasnot an end o the Trad word right, like Terroriss, are still way higher thanthewer bice Rond came into office and like Yeah Yeah and sorry, the with coronavars and Senc, so sinse iewas on the podcast. There was a huge spike in reported cases of corrntoviruswas like in one day like overnight. It was fifteenzend, more cases and Asmor Oen don and Chinais, not the best at telling peoplewhat's going on sure. So I'm not really sure what what I went. This was like Wednesdays right and I think I think part of it was theyexpanded. The definition of like I was iffected and Caso. It was like getting through the backlog of like, like okaywe're able to who died in like eary January, so theyre that was Co.Then we publicized it a dotit confirmed million nue like we just find out toswe publicizes a Buncho ocasenbut. Also t changes ar estimates of a what's going on, andspecifically I mean people can. You know worry about cove ninteen as much as youlike, I o sure, really care. I'm not someone who really gets worried aboutthis kind of right, but hit does have very serious impacts on the economy and the possibility of this truce right because ey China kind of is shut down. Yeahthere's like tens of millions of people in their quorndine. Originally they putlike fifteen cities under quarantine. Hat sure I don't know if that's gone up like like production is like like nothing is open, groceries, grocery stores and hospitals, like the only things that are open, norestaurants, an the like. No, like that's touas. Now it's nothat, it's like out of n movie. It's like I was like intagent or like some kind of outbriat them virus thingyeah and, like apple, isn't produce like they produce a lotof stuff in Tina. I think they like kind of stopped Sontha Mikostuff, thater their consols are going to get to Lav yeah this PSFI annot Hebecause. They they're notproducing them right now, an so they racically, like their public statement, was, like you, don't know yea, but it's looking like things are going to getbehind. So if they do like, they didn't, say we're sorry, because it's not thatyou know it's just. This is what it is like no one's mad. I is likeunfortunate yeah, so China. Obviously this is affecting the peoplein China like more than anyone else.

Obviously sorry, China's economy could take a huge hitand Chinais like. I did look this up. This was like theone thing of yeah China. China accounts for sixteen percent ofglobal TP, which is huge, eahnor and like if they see growth, you know taking a pretty big hit it'sGoingto, especially because they have a huge role in the global supply cham so like they are. Obviously we important just jut Don stuff from Cha right, but also China Imporan to make thatstuff. They import like like row on materials like copper from Chili, whichis used in so this is kind of sorts of like enormous Li, even though the wehave this truce yeah. That mayor may not have happened yesterday, Mameiwe're still going NA, have our global comey, OA, drivs and yea and, like I think, like Steve, I'm not sure aboutthat. But, like Germany, imports a lot from AAND theyr taling like hasn't been doing onright recently, that's yeah and with the trade word like world e Comomyhas already not not Ben Doing Dong Right, we've already een taken a hitand Damn Shit, soohand thereis almost no way that abig part of the truce was that they would. China would like Fordo better, like withintellectual properties, stuf right and Iwasand by whole bunch like a whole lotof us goods yeah, which, in a bunch of different sectors because Ik GoinnaHash. I ow hes like how theyr going to do that. Yeah not going to happen. There's no way they can that's crazy, yeah. So now I'm just kind of wonderingLi, because I've heard nothing right. His Mat, like a wasting game that Senwhat happens ot of this Tom, especially because everyone is so worried aboutthe more humanes right. Obviously, that'sthat's most important as aright. These people are dying like, but also there are other contant noices yeahimportant. Like sixteen percent. You said yes, okay, a lot of these eastern Asia all rightle very, very, like it's kindof how we trade with birth, yeah, Howyo, TA, wit, yeah, Mexicocanyeah, very INTU,with that yeah am but like Aso yeah, so we're all going to die tweet at us. I think osocial media. ILea a lot today, yeah this eisodnestly yeah fot. On that positive note, we're GOINGTO BE EAT dinner yeah. Youhave no idea when e're recording this so we're goingto eat breakfast this. This have you always recorded in this room, yeah yeah I used to be better. You never been here all right. That was a all right, regonaor Continun r yearsTan we're going to continue this o iss of the camera odnight good morning. Whatever O willdo the fhole like explainthe Shon, thanks for listening.
